Here’s a preview into a holiday-home housing scheme that we have conceptualized for a realty firm.
Spread over a 5,500 sqmt plot amidst dense vegetation in the Siolim area of Goa, the project comprises of units which are designed to be modular variants of 1 & 1.5 BHK. These smaller units can be combined to form 2, 2.5 & 3 BHK by easily stacking and or adding them to create a range of possibilities. Each unit has a private plunge-pool and access to a garden. Several passive housing strategies were deployed to get optimal natural light and ventilation and minimize solar gains for each unit.
As global design-strategy we explored the idea of Old x New; vernacular / traditional goan home concept combined with modern day amenities, luxuries and lifestyle. The units are designed to have pitched roofs with free flowing seamless floor plan and interior spaces that open outwardly. As landscape strategy we decided to modulate the land between the units to give us opportunity to arrange the units in a way where individual unit’s privacy is maximized while still have a strong sense of belonging to the community.
These design concepts would allow home owners a possibility of a quiet getaway from the city noise or work remotely while enjoying and living amidst nature.
